I bet alot of girls play these sorts of games, but it is more humorous to say that do not

. I mean where would all my good /dance ing jokes be if that steriotype was not believed. But I can see where such a belief comes from.

as a side note, if you ever want to see a place of a high number of both male and female gamers go to a Tech. School for college 1:6 (girl to guy) but just about everyone plays video games....and drinks....but mostly video games.

side Side note I always found the sims more fun ruining their lives than playing their lives...just something about making them beat each other up crap themselves die and haunt the next people that i found almost as much fun as the Maxed out force choke ability in Jedi academy.

girls play allot of games and what ive seen of girl gamers so far they are really quite pretty from what ive seen and far nicer than you might think. youd think they would all be angry with jackholes running arround ruining everyones day in game and making obscene jokes adn all the scamming.

I know loads of girls who play online games, people just don't notice them as much because they're not loudmouth preteen pissants who rant and swear (poorly) in all-chat with random spamlike messages.

They're quiet.

That's why people don't notice them, people only notice assholes.

Agreed my girlfriend is a gamer much like me. Maybe not as hardcore as me but still pretty damn into it. That's why I'm buying her an early birthday present a copy of GW since she's so addicted from playing my account. ^^;;

Well they obviously play, and a good deal of them are indeed pretty (where'd that thread go with all the pics? Lovely ladies in there).

But girls and gaming are just not associated with each other yet. For the reasons I provided mainly.

BTW where did the ladies go? Hoodie and the girl with the awesome eyes (can't believe I forgot her name, it'll come back to me), the one with teh blue avatar (I think it was Katie something) and the one with the elementalist leaning over as well as crazygirl and all them.

but now, the daft game designers are over compensating with every char being called *she* in the mags...
i have got all the copies of dragon, way back from issue 1 thru 150 (on cd) and all the new ones and in the last year or so, its all she, she, she.....

but i hapen to get would up cause I know that the *he* they used was as good as an *IT* for me ^^ i used to be able to edit it im my brain if i cared, but this is overkill.

gamer girls are rare acording to most males, but we are there....you just have to look for us.
and lets face it, girls, when theres soooo many blokes after a girl/wife ect that they dont have to get the "you love ****** more than you love me!" and they are speaking about a game or hoby, who wants to advertise ^^

Speaking of girl gamers, the greatest Day of Defeat player I ever met was a girl, well both of the best DoD players I've ever met are girls. Hell all night this girls' been on our server, normall I've got the most kills/greatest kill/death ratio but she was tearin' me apart constantly. I must've just been having an off day. Hell just to get a better score than her I had to change it to the darkest map in the game just so she couldn't see me as well. (Of course, PieXags can see pretty good on dark maps. There are perks to being me.) Point being, she's one hell of a shot.

Maybe it's because girls don't drink and play at the same time like many other guys I know. Only one of them actually gets better the more he drinks.

Well it is rare to find a girl who plays video games (where i live anyways).. expecialy games like this, my sister and her friends only play racing games... they wont touch anything else be cause its "too fast and it hurts her eyes"... oh and ive kicked her butt on every game from Golden eye, to Super smash brothers: melee, to Donkey Konga.... so she never wants to play with me

i think more girls should play online games, im sick of 13 year old boys always hitting on my ranger... man you make one female character and their on you like nerds at a star trek convention

to wrap up the last few pointless things ive written i dont personaly know any girls who play online games (or video games for that matter, aside from racing), but i think it would be cool to have more join in..

I agree with the comments on girls being quiet ingame. I've had enough of guys trying to hit on me when they find out I'm female so I usually hush up or say I'm a guy sometimes. Oh and, you really shouldn't judge anyone by their avatar's looks. ;D

The main reason they use the moniker "she" is that it contains both "he" and "she" so instead of using he/she they just go with she and therefore save 3 character spaces per usage and over the course of a 200 page book that can save several pages from having to be printed and reducing the overall cost of the book.

As for female gamers, well I have been playing board, d&d style and computer games for over 25 years now and the only time I noticed a absence of female players was in High School. Beyond that I have found female players to be plentiful, knowledgable and skilled and for the most part much more mature than their male counter parts.

Gender, life style, race, color, favourite TV to movie show.... Doesn't matter who you are. If you can pick up a mouse and fiddle on a keyboard, you can play a game, and you can get good at it. I don't know why people think it's a big deal that someone of a differnt gender or race plays a game.. I mean, who DOESN'T play a game of some sort, right?
